MISSION STATEMENT

In accordance with the philosophy of the CHURCH OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT-

OUR LADY OF THE DIVINE SHEPHERD the Health Education Committee develops and implements health education programs for the parish and the community.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Health Education Committee shall be to:

1. Work for the improvement of the health of the parishioners and the community.

2. Foster high standards of health.

3. Stimulate and promote an interest in personal health.

The functions of the Health Education Committee shall be to sponsor programs and activities that will:

1.      Enhance the health of parishioners and the community.

2.      Keep the parishioners abreast of preventive health measures, current trends, and

community resources.

3.      Educate the parishioners about good health practices.

4.      Coordinate activities with health care providers in the immediate area.
